Oh, Cherry…She‟s Such a Peach!

Summer in Louisiana means fresh, juice-dripping-down-your-chin peaches. DBG suggests you take advantage
of these local delights while the sun is high and the days are long and lazy. Here is the recipe for the sparkling
peach sangria she will be serving at her summer shindig. It‟s light, it bubbles, it refreshes. After one sip, your
friends will say you are just Peachy Keen.

Ruston Royale

1-cup brandy
1/4 cup sugar, super fine
2 cups peaches sliced
1 lemon, thinly sliced

In a large pitcher, combine brandy and peach liqueur. Pour in the sugar and stir until dissolved. Add all of the
fruit. Then add chilled sparkling wine. Serve straight up or over ice. Note: depending on the sweetness of the
sparkling wine or your personal preference, more sugar or peach liqueur can be added. Fresh berries also can
dress things up a bit. Go crazy, kids. It is summer after all.
